In celebration of Earth Day 2024, GOOD TRASH and ChefCo collaborated with Marvelous Foods to engage 40 award-winning chefs in a conversation about food waste. The partnership aimed to raise awareness about the silent villain in many restaurants and daily kitchen operations while promoting Marvelous Foods' exceptional Yeyo coconut-based gelato.
We asked the chefs to share their top three daily food waste culprits, revealing eye-opening and diverse results. From coffee grounds to forgotten vegetable scraps and even animal fur, the chefs provided unique insights into the challenges they face in reducing food waste. The chefs also shared creative solutions and innovative approaches to tackling this issue in their kitchens.
